Remember When Computers Were Still A New Thing?

There was a time when computers used to take up entire rooms. Word processing meant using a typewriter, and if you wanted copies you used carbon paper. Games were played outside and a screen was something at a movie theater. Then, in the late 60’s and 70’s, computers became smaller and “personal computers” began to enter homes.

This ad is for the Apple IIc (the c stands for “compact). The ad is from 1984 and reminds us that 31 years ago, computers were still a very new thing. Now almost everyone has one!
