It was the 1930s and Warner Brothers was looking for a way to beat its rival, Disney. It needed a character that was off-the-wall funny and would take its cartoons in a new direction. On April 17, 1937, its new character, Daffy Duck, debuted in the classic cartoon “Porky's Duck Hunt.” His appearance was a hit, and he would go on to appear in more than 150 cartoons. Watch this video and see how much Daffy has changed in the past 79 years!
